Carmen Ruiz, M.D.
Carmen Ruiz, M.D., FASCRS, is board certified in colon and rectal surgery and a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed her surgical residency at Boston Medical Center. She went on to complete a Clinical Trials Research Fellowship followed by a Clinical Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Ruiz is a devoted and skilled surgeon. Her clinical interests include the prevention of colorectal cancer, the surgical care of patients with advanced colorectal cancers, and the management of a broad spectrum of complex colon and rectal diseases. Dr. Ruiz believes that her greatest accomplishment is combining her surgical expertise with compassionate care for her patients.
